Membership Categories:

1. Active Member—A professional photographer who owns, co-owns, manages, or is an employee of a photographic studio or firm available for assignments on a regular business basis, satisfying federal, state and local requirements for business, or an employee of or jobber for an active MPP member whose regular position is other than that of a professional photographer, or spouse of an active MPP member.

2.  Sustaining Member—A firm, manufacturer, service specialist or organization which has a representative or salesperson who has an active interest in the advancement of professional photography,

            3.  Retired Photographer

4.  Honorary Life Member—Any person who has been nominated by the Board of Directors prior to the annual meeting and approved by two-thirds majority vote of the Board of Directors.  Honorary Life Membership consisting of a paid-for-life membership with full voting privileges may be bestowed on any person or distinguished professional photographer by reason of outstanding service to MPP or to the advancement of professional photography in general.

Application for Membership:

            An application for new membership in MPP is made by submitting the official membership application form and payment for dues to the MPP secretary-treasurer.  The names of new members will be published on the organization’s web site.

Membership Dues:

            Annual renewal dues are payable by members on or before the first day of the new calendar year.  Any members who have not renewed their membership within ninety days following the beginning of the calendar year will be suspended and dropped from the membership rolls.

            Included among the benefits of membership are opportunities for fellowship within your profession, recognition of talent from your peers within the organization, web site to keep the membership informed about what is coming up in the group, seminars with top photographic talent from around the country and from those within our own ranks, annual convention, annual print competitions, annual trade show for vendors, membership directory, membership certificate, service and fellowship awards program, years of professional knowledge and business operation available to you by members, annual family picnic, and an extensive tape and book library.
